All, it appears there is confusion about Karen / Speak Out. Kathy just got off the phone with Ken, Karen's husband.
Karen is indeed still in the hospital and can use all your prayers and positive thoughts. But with great relief, I can tell you she is still alive.
There seems to be some confusion on Facebook. Please keep Karen in your prayers.
Thanks,
Denise
There will be a time to tell you all what Karen meant to me. But, for now, all I can do is cry.
ETA: If it is possible, I will pray even harder for her complete recovery. Bless you for the update, Denise and Linda.
As I've already told some of my dear friends here, my weeks will contain fewer smiles now because Karen was the source of so many.
As Sue said, more words will come later. For now just tears and asking why.
ETA: Tears of happiness now. She will definitely need our continued prayers.
OMG....what happened?!

Posting here as well as first post....

After having been upset all afternoon it was unbelievable to take a break from work and hear the wonderful news from Tricia

Karen is definitely getting the full power of the SP prayers and we'll continue to pray for a full recovery. Even in such a serious situation she is making us smile
We've shared so many fun memories and adventures with Karen-it just didn't seem possible to get an unhappy ending. Thanks for the updates and please let her husband and family know that they are in so many thoughts and prayers!

After hearing the first round of news I aimlessly paced my empty house, not knowing what to do. I called my husband at work and sobbed out the sad news. He just came home and I shared with him the great, but guarded update. After a long hug he looked at me and said, "Remember the thoughts and memories you had these last few hours. Your experiences with Karen obviously mean a great deal to you. Make it a point to create new ones."
